I am passionate about social issues and promoting racial parity in all my endeavors and undertakings. As a woman of color, I easily recognize the challenges that minorities often face in their personal and professional pursuits. My dream is to break down barriers and build bridges to create a more fair and just America for all.
With nearly three decades of experience in policy-making, project management, and national and international politics, I excel at building teams with diverse backgrounds. My team building strategies have proven effective by meeting milestones and marking many notable achievements.
Activist and Agent Of Change
Often sought after for consulting and leadership roles in the political arena, I’m an action taker. My involvement in politics includes coordinating movements for the Democratic Party.
I’ve counseled government and nonprofit agencies, including the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Foundation Project, the Congressional Black Caucus, the National African American Museum of History and Culture, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Color of Change, and the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit.
In addition to my work in politics, I serve as a member of the Corporate Directors Group and the American College of Corporate Directors, the advisory board of Head and Heart Philanthropy, and Board of directors of Color of Change PAC and Emily’s List.
Having worked with several leading U.S. companies, including Google, Microsoft, Apple, and AT&T, I’ve helped to provide solutions to complex problems.
I take a hands-on approach by working directly with clients to solve problems, whether they seek to increase diversity within their organization, or need guidance when facing a crisis. My strong relationships and partnerships help bring together NGOs and corporate entities with the people they serve.
As an award-winning author and entrepreneur, I’m motivated and inspired by what the future holds, and I’m excited for the next opportunity to forge progress and change.
