As an only child raised in bookstores by a single, bookworm mom, puzzling out the internal monologues and backstories of real people, just like characters in my books, fascinated me.
I always knew my brain worked differently, like using multiple displays before the technology existed. In college, I realized I could harness these quirks to make connections quickly, and had also developed a knack for storytelling. This made marketing a natural path, exploiting my innate curiosity to discover what touches and motivates each of us, and using those insights to translate business strategies into more authentic and compelling customer-centric stories.
Over the last 24 years, I’ve leveraged these skills to lead countless transformative projects like HP’s business PC portfolio taxonomy and positioning, and integrated NPI launch processes, that have endured over a decade. As a corporate and community leader, I look forward to helping others discover their stories—at both HP and through my passion project, our family-owned bookstore.
