Peter Waziri is a globally minded CEO with more than 30 years of advanced experience in financial and health care management. His expertise encompasses business strategy and consulting, making him a highly versatile leader in various industries. Peter currently serves on the board of Xpress Wellness Urgent Care, a company backed by Goldman Sachs private equity that operates over 80 clinics across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Peter is also a board member at Bangor University in the UK, which continues to expand his global outlook and broad professional reach.
Peter’s prior roles include serving as CFO at Parkland Community Health Plan, a managed care entity with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion. Prior to Parkland, Peter worked as CFO/COO at two other health care organizations where he collaborated with fellow executives to implement innovative strategies aimed at improving care quality and advancing population health management. He served as a board member for Reliance eHealth Collaborative, a health information exchange operating in Oregon, Washington, and Northern California. He participated in executive searches for a new CEO and joined the nominating committee to recruit board members.
Experienced Business Expert with Cultural Understanding
Before joining health care, Peter co-founded Warspite Capital Advisors, which focuses on M&A, debt restructuring, investment management, and emerging markets. He worked at GE Capital and KeyBanc Capital Markets, specializing in debt funding for M&A transactions in restaurants and hospitality, commercial real estate private equity, CMBS, structured finance, life company loan placements, and media & telecom syndications. Earlier, he was a management consultant at Ernst & Young for global banking clients and he started his career at the Institute of European Finance in Great Britain, consulting for international banks and the United Nations.
