
Nelda was the President and CEO of Tyco International’s Electrical and Metal Products division, from 2008 to 2011. She took that company public, renamed it as Atkore International (NYSE: ATKR). Prior to that, she was a senior executive at Eaton Corporation for six years and Ford Motor Company for four years.
Nelda is currently Chairwoman and CEO of Pine Grove Holdings, LLC, a privately-held investment company focused on acquiring small-to-mid-sized businesses with a high engineering component. These investments are primarily focused in power generation, specialty logistics and transportation, SAAS and advanced materials.
She brings more than 25 years technical and operating experience in diversified industrials as an OEM, supplier and distributor. Her recognized expertise has earned her a place on the Board of Directors of various public and privately-held companies, such as Baker Hughes Company, Boston Scientific, Delphi Technologies, Enersys, Echo Global Logistics. She has served on the Independent Takata Quality Assurance Panel. And, she currently serves as a board director for the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation and Xavier University of Louisiana.
Nelda holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton with post- graduate studies at the University of Tokyo in International Finance and Economics.
Awards and recognition include Most Influential Corporate Directors of Women, Inc., Savoy in its Power 300 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors and Black Enterprise Top 75 Powerful Women in Business. Additionally, Chicago United recognized her as one of it Business Leaders of Color, C200 moderator for “Beyond the Glass Ceiling”, awarded Rotary International Japan Fellow.
