From my earliest years in Cameroon, I witnessed firsthand how access to education—or the lack of it—could define a person’s future. I saw bright minds held back by systemic barriers, and I knew that change required more than good intentions. It demanded policies, leadership, and sustainable investments. That realization became my driving force.

My journey in international development began with a deep-rooted belief that education and economic empowerment are the most powerful tools for transformation. With this conviction, I pursued a Ph.D. in the Economics of Education, determined to bridge the gap between policy theory and real-world impact. That commitment has guided me ever since, shaping my leadership in governance, finance, and sustainable development.

For over 20 years, I have worked at the intersection of policy, governance, and finance. I have driven large-scale, high-impact initiatives across Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia. Some of the most defining moments of my career include:

• As Country Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, I managed a $15 billion portfolio, overseeing 35 major operations and leading crisis response efforts. This includes securing $950 million in emergency funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• In the South Caucasus, I worked alongside heads of state and central banks to direct $4 billion in investments, strengthening governance frameworks and economic growth strategies in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
• As Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the World Bank Group, I now facilitate strategic engagement between global leaders, ensuring governance integrity and policy impact at the highest level.

My leadership has always been centered on results—mobilizing resources, fostering international cooperation, and building institutions that drive sustainable growth.

At my core, I am a builder—of policies, partnerships, and people. I thrive in complex, high-stakes environments, where strategic decisions shape economies and futures. My ability to connect technical expertise with real-world application allows me to drive meaningful change, whether in financial governance, international diplomacy, or crisis response.

Beyond the boardroom, I am committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders, ensuring that those who come after me are equipped to tackle global challenges with integrity and vision. As I look ahead, my focus remains steadfast: to leverage my experience in governance, finance, and international development to create more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient societies worldwide.
