Larry Quinlan is a senior executive with 35 years of experience creating value through inspired leadership of global technology, cybersecurity, complex enterprise solutions, organization design, next generation technology operating models and global shared services. He has over 20 years of experience driving business strategy at the Executive Committee level.
Larry is well versed in new and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, cloud, cyber, mobility, collaboration, blockchain, 5G and The Internet of Things. He has deep expertise in the management of corporate cyber security functions including Board reporting and global regulatory compliance. Larry has developed eminence in leadership, communications and diversity along with his acknowledged expertise in technology and cybersecurity management. His experiences and capabilities have made him a sought-after advisor to Board members and companies.
Larry currently serves as senior partner and Global Chief Information Officer at Deloitte, the world’s largest professional services Firm with $45 billion in revenue and 300,000 people operating in over 100 countries. In this role Larry oversees over 10,000 professionals and affiliates dedicated to creating the industry’s best technology environment. He led transformations in business underpinned by major global technology solutions including ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms and data analytics. He spearheaded a pivot to the public cloud and drives the development of complex, proprietary applications to increase Deloitte business results. Larry oversees the Firm’s cybersecurity organization and leads a multi-hundred-million-dollar program for the Board to enhance cyber governance, board reporting, organizational excellence, cyber technology readiness and shared services operations.
In addition to his Global CIO role, Larry serves as the lead Deloitte partner overseeing advisory services to one of the world’s largest transportation/hospitality corporations and to a leading global technology platform company. He leads the CIO Academy at Deloitte, a program that delivers leadership development training for senior client executives who aspire to the CIO role.
Larry previously served as Deloitte’s process excellence managing principal with responsibility for improving margins and effectiveness at the Firm using structured process reengineering methodologies including Lean Six Sigma.
Larry served as co-chair of the Global Leadership Forum, chairs the Information Technology committee of the United Way of Miami-Dade and serves on the Boards of NPower and KIPP Charter Schools of Miami. He also served on the Boards of the Executive Leadership Council and the Nashville Technology Council. Larry’s work resulted in the conferral of an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from his alma mater, The University of the West Indies and his 2018 induction into the US CIO Hall of Fame.
Larry holds a B. Sc degree from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Baruch College, City University of New York.
