I am passionate about empowering entrepreneurs of color to follow their dreams and aspire to the most incredible heights. One of the prodigious equalizers of wealth disparity is business ownership, so I strive to open doors and create pathways for producers to reach their goals in their business endeavors.
Having a successful history in launching and exiting venture-backed startups, I’ve advised and made investments in dozens of courageous entrepreneurs, helping to solve global problems. Currently, I’m the Managing Director of the Techstars Future of Longevity Accelerator. This accelerator is a partnership with Pivotal Ventures, an investment and incubation company created by Melinda Gates to provide inventive and creative caregiving solutions that address the unmet needs of older adults receiving care, in addition to the family and formal care providers.
I’m enthusiastic about allocating capital and other resources to the underserved and underrepresented innovation ecosystems to bring about favorable outcomes.
I’ve served as the Senior Advisor at the Millennial Policy Initiative’s Commission on the Future of Work. In my 20 year career in the technology field, I’ve received numerous professional distinctions, including The Root’s list of 100 Most Influential African Americans, The Digital Diversity Network Change Agent Award, The Registry’s 40 Under 40 in Silicon Valley, MIPAD’s 100 Most Influential People in the African Diaspora, and Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 list.
I’m spirited in my support of top seed-stage startups. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to help them gain access to capital, meaningful connections, and critical support for growth enabling early-stage investors to build more robust, diversified portfolios.
