Much of my work comes from lived experience, not theory. For years, I balanced running a healthcare practice, raising three young children, and managing the realities of military life as my husband deployed again and again. Later came a rare stroke, unexpected job loss, and the profound grief of losing close family members in a short span of time.
Those seasons showed me how much people carry quietly while continuing to lead and show up for others. I saw how chronic stress and unspoken expectations can shape health, confidence, and direction. That realization changed how I lead and why I do this work.
I work with leaders navigate moments of transition and disruption when the old way of working no longer fits, so that they can rebuild their leadership from a place of alignment, purpose, and wholeness.
My career spans clinical practice, healthcare administration, community health strategy, and executive leadership, giving me a broad and practical understanding of how people and systems intersect.
A few experiences that shaped my leadership the most:
- I created and led Banner Health’s first DEI function, embedding equity and community partnership into system-level operations.
- I served as the first Black woman in the C-suite at a major health network, leading through COVID, civil unrest, and intense organizational pressure.
- I held leadership and advisory roles with the American Hospital Association, ACHE, and Banner Health, helping teams navigate complexity and change with intention.
Across these roles, I became the person leaders turned to when things were uncertain, and the path forward wasn’t obvious.
I bring a blend of executive leadership experience, trauma-informed perspective, and practical strategy to help leaders and organizations navigate change without losing themselves in the process.
What people value most in my work is my ability to:
- Help leaders regain their footing during demanding or uncertain periods
- Create environments where people feel supported enough to lead honestly
- Translate complex challenges into thoughtful, actionable next steps
As I expand my work through speaking, leadership advising, and immersive experiences, my focus remains the same: helping people rise in ways that are sustainable, human, and real – not just impressive on paper.
When leaders feel supported and whole, the impact extends far beyond them.
