I have always believed that trust is the most valuable currency in business, and that trust begins with financial integrity. That belief shaped my 36 year career at PwC, where I had the opportunity to work with global organizations on governance, risk, M&A, and business transformation.
I began my career in Birmingham, Alabama. Early on I was drawn to accounting because it gave me a window into how businesses really operate. Numbers tell stories about trust, accountability, and long term decision making. That curiosity led me to PwC’s New York Metro practice, where I spent nearly a decade advising large and complex organizations. The experience exposed me to global companies operating at scale and helped shape how I think about leadership, risk, and strategy.
In 2008 I relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, which became an important chapter in my professional journey. Over time I stepped into leadership roles that eventually included serving as Managing Partner of PwC’s Charlotte office and later the Carolinas and Southeast markets. In those roles I worked alongside more than 300 partners and 5,000 professionals while overseeing relationships with many of the firm’s largest clients. During that period our Southeast practice grew revenues by 40 percent to approximately $1.5 billion, supported by a strong culture of collaboration and a focus on delivering long term value to clients.
Leadership, for me, has always been about people. I believe strong organizations are built by leaders who invest in developing others. I had the privilege of leading PwC’s Partner Candidate Leadership Development program, helping prepare the next generation of firm leaders. I also served on the Partner Admission Committee, contributing to the selection and advancement of partners across the firm.
Beyond my professional work, I have always believed that business leadership carries a responsibility to contribute to the broader community. In Charlotte I have been fortunate to serve in a number of nonprofit leadership roles, including chairing boards and finance committees for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation, and Read Charlotte. I have also supported literacy initiatives nationally through Reading Is Fundamental.
Today I am focused on board service, where I bring together financial expertise, governance experience, and a people centered leadership approach. As a CPA and qualified financial expert, I have spent decades advising and working with boards on issues including enterprise risk, M&A, ESG, and business transformation. I understand the role strong governance plays in helping organizations innovate, grow, and maintain accountability.
I am particularly interested in working with organizations that are growing, transforming, or redefining their role in a changing marketplace. For me, board service is a natural continuation of my career, helping companies lead with integrity, develop strong leadership, and build trust that endures.
