
Cleve is a partner at Brodeur Partners, an integrated communications company. He is a director at Signitt, a multinational company that specializes in the creation of a professional brand, story and online presence for senior executives, in both individual and company settings. He is a partner at Corporate Partners Investment Alliance, a multinational merchant banking partnership. Cleve is co-founder of the Columbia Angel Network, an organization that facilitates connections between Columbia University alumni startups and early stage companies, and Columbia alumni investors. He is on the Operating Council of the University Angel Group, a group of angel investor networks associated with over 30 universities. Cleve has been part of the C-suite, a board director or major investor in 11 startups and early stage companies and advised over 50 companies on their business plans, investor decks and presentations. He is on the Advisory Board of the Weissman Center for International Business of CUNY/ Baruch College.
Cleve is author of New Business Lessons from Madison Avenue, a book designed to provide strategies, tactics and tips on new business development and pitches for services companies. It was translated in Japanese and used by agencies globally. Prior to joining Brodeur , Cleve was Corporate EVP / Global Business Development at DDB, one of the largest communications agencies in the world. Over his 18 years at DDB he oversaw or was actively involved in over 400 major new business pitches globally. After graduation from Columbia Business School, Cleve was in product management at General Foods Corp (acquired by Kraft). He has a BA from NYU and lives in New York City.
